8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe feel so fortunate that our child attended PS 10. The teachers our child had were experienced and passionate educators. Principal Laura Scott is devoted to making her school serve its community. Our child decided they are non-binary at the end of third grade. When I suggested bringing in the Ackerman Institute to do a training for the staff, Principal Scott did that. And when, in our last year, I suggested that the school should have a GSA Club for 4th and 5th graders, Vice Principal Gary Nusser jumped on board, and Principal Scott matched me up with a teacher (rock star 2nd grade teacher Maribeth Dono) who spearheaded that effort. We started the program with five kids, and had sixteen within a month or two. The kids marched in Brooklyn Pride this year-- such a validating experience for them. But that's just the sort of administration this school has. Vigorous to give their students have a safe, supportive, top notch education.Parent Review10mo ago - MS 442 Carroll Gardens School for Innovation

"Please don’t bring more dogs to this neighborhood. We already have enough and owners already do a very poor job of either 1) picking up after them or 2) keeping them leashed. Saw a dog unlawfully unleashed in the park destroy a tree the other day. Continually have to ask owners to not let dogs defecate on our fenced sidewalk gardens. Just don’t. How hard is it? "
