1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagedisappointed overall as compared to good things i'd heard about the school in the past. standards are below average, teachers seem to not be necessarily certified nor experienced. lack of discipline...students talk back/curse at teachers and behavior is not called attention to or remediated.Other Review10y ago - Juan Morel Campos Secondary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not expect perfection but sheesh!!I worked at this school, and when I say the "teacher" was rude and nasty towards me for no apparent reason.....No matter what I asked... (do you want me to do this, do you need that, I will get it... It was a NO!) then turned around and made a false complaint about me which forced me out of work for weeks until further notice.. The next course of action for them was a meeting. When I had this meeting to discuss what actually went on,.. I had my notes of here treatment as I already was not happy about her or her treatment.. I was not able to talk nor did my representative represent me! At the end of it all, I was told that I better not get in any more trouble OR ELSE he knew that what the "teacher" wrote was true. INVALIDATING EVERYTHING THAT I STAND FOR. I STAND UP FOR THE CHILDREN.. THEY ARE THE ONES I SERVE. I DO NOT LIKE BULLIES AND THEY HAVE ONE AS A TEACHER. I WILL NOT CALL NAMES BECAUSE SHE KNOWS WHO SHE IS AND THE WORST PART IS SHE WORKS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME ON THE SYSTEM AS WELL. YOU WHO LET IT HAPPEN. HOME SCHOOL YOUR CHILDREN!!! Since I've worked in the school system and daycares.... I know what I know and I home school my children.. I refuse to let random people just push misleading and false information into my children's mind. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL WE ARE ONE, SO EACH ONE TEACH ONE.Other Review11mo ago - Ps 319

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has thrived and loved attending this school, and has grown confident in areas that my child struggled with beforehand, from the warmth of the staff and the teachers. They are very focused to ready these students for elementry schools outside of theirs, to be ready for the standardize testing and be ahead. This school is overlooked because they don't have actual grading of test results- since the school ends at grade 1- however, this school is an excellent segway for Arbor school next door or many others outside of the school zone. Only area of improvement I could see is a little better organization within the office. Surprisingly a wonderfully diverse school with strong focus on education and preparing the students ahead!Parent Review4y ago - Brooklyn Arbor Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll this school does is ask for money. Donate for this, give for that…. Give, give, give. Meanwhile, the community activities they plan are incredibly boring and tasteless. They seem to care only about rules and money. Whatever made this school special is no-longer the case. Avoid, enroll your kid somewhere else.Parent Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 340 S 5th St #1.

"The constant building of high rise apartments priced at ridiculous high minimums for terrible and rushed work. Awful people moving in who treat the side walk like a dumpster. Broken glass and dog poop, rats and garbage everywhere. "
- Trulia User

"There are many green spaces and places to play for children. There are dog & skate parks also. Sprinkler in the summer and kids making snow people in the winter."

"we live by morgan L train station. It is mostly safe and quiet but I’ve heard of a few incidents. People from the neighborhood throw garbage outside the trash bins which I find disrespectful but as we all know some people live in an alternative world. There are nice places to eat and summers are really nice. No parks or any green around as this was an industrial neighborhood but you get used to it."
- Trulia User
- Resident

"Accessibility to the city by public transport makes this a central neighborhood. It also makes it a bedroom community. There aren’t no great institutions in this neighborhood: no museums, libraries, nor large performance stages "

"The neighborhood is horribly overpriced, but the environment is cool, and its a chill place to hangout"
