Description
This property is not currently for sale or for rent on Trulia. The description and property data below may have been provided by a third party, the homeowner or public records.
Located on one of Cobble Hill's picturesque blocks, this mint condition condo duplex offers 3 large bedrooms, 2 baths, and a landscaped patio. Stretching out over nearly 1600 square feet and 2 levels, this home provides generous living and entertaining space.
284 Warren Street is a period brownstone converted to condo in 2007 and lovingly maintained since. This 4 unit building is on an idyllic Brooklyn block, anchored by Cobble Hill's amenity filled Court and Smith Streets. Visitors are greeted by a classic stoop and refined double door lobby to the parlor level entrance for Apartment 1.
A formal entry hall (with closets) opens to a bright and well appointed kitchen/dining loft perched above a double height wall of glass framing the stone paved patio below. Two well proportioned bedrooms and a full four piece bath are also found on the parlor floor. A quarter turn staircase leads from the kitchen down to the patio and garden level. This lower level holds additional social space that could be used as dining, den, or work and is graced by a gas fireplace. An additional bath (with shower stall prepped but needing completion) and an ample master bedroom (with built-ins) complete this garden floor. The landscaped patio expands the living space by an additional 300 square feet and has hosted many cocktail parties and family barbecues.
Monthly maintenance is a mere $254, tax average is $78 ($940 annually). This home has central air and gas heat, white oak hardwood floors, Subzero/Bosch appliances, Corian countertops, washer/vented dryer, and pets are welcome. Additional locked private storage is found adjacent to the side patio. While providing a modern sensibility in the frame of a classic brownstone, this home offers buyers a turnkey resale purchase without the added cost of new development.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has proven to offer zero support and motivation to students to help strengthen their goals. The majority of staff aren't provided with tools which enable success. This seems directly related to the principal's hands off attitude. The lack of mentors & resources that should be offered are replaced with ethical dilemmas. Students aren't prepared for the next year's work or college! For Juniors, there is a bare minimum foundation to encourage students to attend college. Bare minimum information on different colleges, what they offer, and very little about fasfa help and possible internships. Students need to research and sort this out on their own or with their parents. As for the uniforms? It is NOT Enforced. As for safety, the "School Safety Officers" sit draped in the lobby chair and fail to ask for identification of anyone entering the building. They just ask to sign in any random names and they are allowed entry into the school building. Adding, during dismissal, they remain hovered in the school doorway due to the cold weather, instead of patrolling the designated areas (perimeters) of school buildings &surrounding areas during the morning and afternoon dismissal interacting with students to create a cordial space. Look at surrounding schools where the school safety agents' actually perform their duties as per their job descriptions and create a respectful space for students. The environment needs supervision.Other Review4w ago - Ps 29 John M Harrigan

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs an upcoming 8th grader at this school I’d say for as many good teachers, there are twice as many bad teachers, this school prides itself on diversity while only having one Asian teacher in the whole middle school. The new principal and vice principal are constantly making unnecessary changes without feedback from students that make the school feel more like strict private school rather than a fun learning environment. I’ve made so many friends at this school but there have been a lot of bad moments as well. During school shooter lockdowns which happen frequently the school barely communicates with parents and instead of fixing problems that actually matter they decide to implement things like teachers escorting students to lunch and having to “earn” the right to eat lunch outside of the school, to be honest and frank this school would’ve been a great decision a couple years ago but now with the overwhelming amount of rules it isn’t worth it. You light think I’m just a petty student but these things are real issues that are happening right now ESPECIALLY with the mis-communication with parents during school emergencies!!Student Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 284 Warren St #1.

"It’s not too trendy but has all the amenities you’d want in a Brooklyn neighborhood like shops and restaurants and dry cleaners. Feels very “neighborhoods” and I know several of my neighbors. We deliver each other’s packages and watch each other’s cats when we go on vacation. Things like that. Also feels pretty safe. "

"Family oriented neighborhood but is never boring in Boerum Hill. A ton of restaurants, bars, parks, stores, shopping, and public transportation. Close enough to the city, with great views. "
