6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 3 children in the school, the teachers who know my kids so well, and appreciate the robust social emotional learning team.SEL team includes counseling in schools and restorative justice as well as dual language program and the small and intimate class sizes. The school is a title 1 school that has welcomed folks particularly asylees and folks temporarily housed with open arms. There are many activities and community building events as well as a strong and active PTA.This school is a warm environment for those in park slope that truly are open to their child learning and growing in a diverse community.Parent Review2mo ago - New Voices School Of Academic And Creative Arts

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child was in this school, and it was not challenging. The school focuses on teaching to the Common Core test starting day one. Unfortunately the teachers and administration are in the predicament of having to follow this path in order to keep jobs. It is a bad recipe for the kids. The kids are taught in a punitive environment - learning to fear rather than love school. The technology is hit or miss -- some teachers use it, others do not. Parent communication also is spotty -- the parent/teacher coordinator is phenomenal. The teacher/parent communication is difficult. One communication I sent to the guidance counselor with concern for my child was never returned. Ultimately we left for another school and see a night/day difference in the level of education.Parent Review8y ago - Park Slope Collegiate

"Please don’t bring more dogs to this neighborhood. We already have enough and owners already do a very poor job of either 1) picking up after them or 2) keeping them leashed. Saw a dog unlawfully unleashed in the park destroy a tree the other day. Continually have to ask owners to not let dogs defecate on our fenced sidewalk gardens. Just don’t. How hard is it? "
