7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from this school 2 years ago. I must admit it was vigorous at times because they expected him to do his absolute best. It all paid off at the end, this school offered the opportunity for him to take & pass 3 of the HS regents exams, which put him in a position to get into a great HS advanced program. At this point,he is ahead of the game,as he has completed all his 10th grade requirements & will be entering into the 11th grade in a few weeks. The Principal- Ms. Spencer gets to know her children & advocates for them. I have found her to be a hands on leader that will step in in order to provide a high level education experience for her students. Her decisions are based on the well being of the students. At first, we overlooked this school as a middle school choice. But I thank God for the day, 5 years ago, when my husband decided to personally check out the school despite the stigma & negative hear says. We are well pleased with the education our oldest son received at MS 2/Parkside Prep. Academy. Our youngest is now attending & we are happy parents, as we know that he will be well taken care of. This school a hidden treasure!!Parent Review9y ago - Ps 181
