3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor the person who wrote a review regarding their attendance 60 YEARS AGO, a lot has CHANGED!!! You should make a visit. The school is notorious for kids being bullied, and security arriving way too late, and if they don't get you in school they will get you after school. There must be a change this has been going on for years!!!! Kids are bused from other locations, and sometime not the best neighborhoods, to ensure the school is integrated, and this does have an affect to population and to those who live in the area.Parent Review6y ago - Ps 195 Manhattan Beach

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBe aware, this school is a prime example of discrimination at it's finest within the NYC Public Education System. With a 90% student population of a white student body, this school will do it's utmost best to weed out any students they feel does not fit in with the "perfect" picture they paint of themselves. Violating laws including the Americans With Disabilities Act, this school does not only act outside the parents' consent but also creates a hostile learning environment for children with disabilities.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 211 Hampton Ave.

"Manhattan Beach is a peninsula separated from the rest of Brooklyn by Sheepshead Bay on three sides and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay. It is a unique upper middle class neighborhood that is totally unlike the rest of Brooklyn. That is why the median price for the area is so much lower that the asking prices listed. It is totally residential but a footbridge connects it to the more commercial Sheepshead Bay neighborhood which has restaurants, stores and mass transit. There is one avenue that has city bus service that delivers beach goers to the area and also students that attend Kingsborough Community College located at the tip of the peninsula. There is a tree lined promenade along the Bay that has benches. The beach is within easy walk. There are tennis courts and in the college hosts outdoor concerts. Manhattan is less than an hour away by car depending on traffic and which part of Manhattan you're going to. The subway is not too far a walk away. Shopping, schools and houses of worship are within a walkable distance. The area has a rich history. Once an exclusive and rich neighborhood, the area attracted a movie stars and other famous people. Houses have large and well maintained gardens and you feel you are in a suburb instead of in the city."
