6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have mixed reviews. For parents and kids, this is a good school. Kids here are brilliant and nice. It's mostly a friendly school in a good neighborhood. For new upcoming teachers, stay away from this school. You can absolutely find something better. You'll be gambling if you take this school as a job. Here's why: it's a clickity school. This school is completely all about their little small group cliques and either you fit in or don't. If you do not, that's where everything goes south. You will feel like that kid back in middle school who would be ousted by their peers. You'll be left out of every thing you can possibly imagine. You will be ignored and even met with an attitude. There is so much passive aggressiveness in this school that it's ridiculous. If you in any shape or form challenge some of these teachers who've been here for so long, they will make sure the rest of your days feel like misery. All of a sudden before you know it, you're stressed out day in and day out, and you end up hating your job. As a newbie, you will get no support from anyone and honestly, there's no one you can trust. Forget about the principal, she's completely untrustworthy and will stab you in the back in a heartbeat. Either you can bond with people here or it's your job on the line every single day.Teacher Review2y ago - Is 281 Joseph B Cavallaro

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom my experience, this school doesn't care about its students or student success. There are little to no clubs, extracurricular activities, AP classes, or anything to allow students to explore college & career opportunities. The vast majority of students don't graduate on time (if at all) yet alone are prepared for college if they wanted to go. I would recommend they close down the high school, & decide to make the entire building either an Elamentary school or a Middle school, as the entire building is a K-12 school.Other Review1y ago - Check out schools near 2039 86th St.
