"Not all of the schools are bad regardless of the levels. Some blocks are worse than others. Stuyvesant Ave is quite and Tompkins Ave is very mixed and you’ll find plenty of bars. There are good people here but many are private which may seem like they’re being antisocial. Don’t be surprised at the gun shots and fighting that may go on. Lots of gang tension (if you’re involved). Up and coming neighborhood but it’s still Brooklyn. "

"There are many families in the area. There’s a rather large park nearby and everyone is neighborhood oriented and friendly. I would personally go nuts raising kids in a small apartment, but if you own a brownstone, the neighborhood is beautiful. "

Community events, corner stores, restaurants they all know u by face regardless. Schools and youth activities as well for the children throughout the year "
