3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had two children in this school and it was absolutely horrible. Teachers are impossible to get in contact with. The only time you actually do hear from a teacher is when something negative happens with your child, and even that takes them time. They do not allow children to use the restroom, drugs are rampant, there are gangs and bullying. This schoolneeds more teachers, more guidance counselors and a better relationship with the parents. I am not the only parent with complaints.Do better.Parent Review7mo ago - Jhs 201 The Dyker Heights

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended this school from 6th grade to 8th grade. He entered with an IEP and has met and exceeded all goals to the point that he no longer requires supported services. The IEP communicated all weaknesses, as well as strengths and his teachers, provided the feedback to achieve this goal. I am happy to provide this feedback and express how great this school is. I LOVE DYKER HEIGHTS MIDDLE SCHOOL!! It's equivalent to a private school setting and provided a safe environment for my child. My son will be a graduate in June 2019. I hope he returns to help the school since his goal is to be a math teacher.Parent Review4y ago - Ps 264 Bay Ridge Elementary School For The Arts

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnless your child is perfectly typical in every way beware of this school and it's principal. They immediately suggest D75 placement to move kids out of the school quickly. I question whether they understand children at all since they use negative reinforcement like "good/bad" behavior charts that make children fearful. My child has reading difficulties and their approach has led to fear and anxiety in my child.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 131 74th St #1G.
