6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is finishing 6th grade. The school is now safe and looks out for bullying. My major concern is over the quality of the education. It seems teachers are more interested (pushed to) getting students to make the average than to really excel, to be all they can be. Foreign language education appears to be very weak. Note: although the students do take the city bus, they do so as a group, so I think it's somewhat safe...at least safer than me taking the NYC subways in the 80's !Parent Review6y ago - Sheridan Preparatory Academy

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school isint really that good because of the toxicity and probaly evan racism.I would NOT recommened this school if you dont want your child to lose their sanity with this building.also i feel like the nurses there barley do anything.Like if you bruise your knee, ice pack, have blood pouring out of your neck, ice pack,if you have a BIG bruise with blood gushing out,ice pack like they only use a ice pack if you are hurt like they gota use bandages or casts.also, the salary at the school is horrible, they barely pay the teachers aything but they can build a large school build like why cant they pay the teachers more.If any teacher is reading this, get a better job.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 368 2nd St.

"This is the worst neighborhood to live in and plan to live in for long term. No respect for anyone. You have fireworks going off all day and night. Music blasting during after hours around 12-3 am. Just not the place people want to live and see their kids grow. "

"I work and hike through the neighborhood. The rent has gone up greatly since 2014. It has become hard to find even a room and bed bug infestation is a problem in many homes unfortunately. . The bus system is very good and walking through the neighborhood is nice. The people are not outwardly friendly but they are helpful if you ask for help.. I love albany."
