4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family’s experience with this school has been very positive. My child is a GT kid, and unlike some previous experience we had elsewhere, I felt like he was always challenged and learned A LOT. His teacher challenges her students and always has high expectations for them. The school has a music program, GT program, before and after-school care onsite, a great library with fun book fairs. Having volunteered and met the students, (at least in my child’s class) there is no bullying or meanness—just a really good group of sweet kids. Communication from the school was always effective and clear, and even standardized test scores are quite high.Parent Review1y ago - Damonte Ranch High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBest school I have ever been to I actually find it a bit weird that people wright bad reviews with ratings like 2or1 stars. Things I like at the school though are the healthy lunches the amazing and nice teachers and the time we have to eat lunch it is all awesome.Other Review9y ago - Check out schools near 9750 Pachuca Dr.

"I have lived here since 2017 and I absolutely love this neighborhood. It's quite, friendly, safe and very child friendly. There is never any crime and you hardly ever hear emergency sirens. Every single neighbor has been wonderful and polite except one. "

"Best place to live in DC. It’s a beautiful neighborhood that is urban but not downtown. It’s all about the park and trail, tons of restaurants, things to do, grocery stores, markets, bar. Has its own metro in easy walking distance and a trail that connect you to the east side of the city. "
- Ryan B

"NoMa Bid has been creating a huge sense of community in Eckington and NoMa. For one they keep the area so clean and you always see their workers sweeping the sidewalks, changing trashing, maintenance at the dog park. And then there’s the events, most at the A.T. Park and the MBTrail. Movie in the park, farmers market, holiday events like pumpkin patch/contest, and of course the mural walls festival. The trail and park have beautiful murals everywhere and each year local artist renew most of them. (NoMa in Color). Also the dog parks is a big vibe in the area, Eckington Dog Park is the best in the city, but there are 4 in the area. Also, Bouldering Project is a cool bouldering and fitness gym. Theres tons of grocery, restaurants, bars and beer gardens, etc. it’s surround by Union Market, Brookland, Shaw, H Street… all connect my the MBT (bike/walk trail) and NoMa/Gallaudet Metro Station (subway).
