9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful, wonderful school. When we first moved to Santa Fe, all we ever heard was, "Oh, are you sending your kids to Wood Gormley?" Um, no, because there was no way we could afford to live in that district. And I'm so glad! My son had a fantastic year in kindergarten! The school staff and administration are professional and friendly, and dedicated to helping students succeed. He especially loved art and music, and learned to read quickly. We loved the diversity of the student (and teacher) population, too. I didn't move to NM to keep my kids in an all-white world, which is pretty much what we saw at that other elementary school everyone raves about. The school itself is beautiful, and beautifully maintained with large, well-lit classrooms, shining floors, and a fantastic playground. The parent group is incredibly active, and very welcoming. The principal, who has been at Pinon since it opened, couldn't be better. The school community is warm, and the "extras" like talent shows, spirit days, parent curriculum nights, open houses, etc. were simply delightful. This school is a best-kept secret in the school district, I think, and you'd be lucky to send your child here.Parent Review10y ago - Santa Fe Engage

"Lots of outdoor space but there are also wild animals so you have to keep an eye on them! There are nearby trails, parks and lots of dog owners. Most houses have yards. Coyotes are a bit of a problem and you don’t want to let your dog out at night without keeping an eye on them. "
