9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAttended this school a year ago it was honestly a dreadful experience for me and many others there. I'd first like to mention that the current principle is a lazy and insensitive person. For example, I was ambushed by another student from behind and when I reported this to her, she simply brushed it off like it didn't really concern her and she got mad at me wasting her time. She also did absolutely nothing to improve school matinence or students mental health. She simply swept everything that is important when running a school under the rug and played it off with things like "oh well we don't have enough funding" which is not true. But on another note, the overall building was in horrible mattinense and was not really taken care of what so ever. The building was built over a hundred years ago, and it definitely shows. Floors were often dirty and cracked, lightning was often very dim, walls were pelling and cracked, and a lot of unsafe playground equipment that was usually vandalized with cuss words and slurs. A few of the students including me had sensitive issues which caused us to be bullied and the school did nothing about it and rather shamed us for it. Overall, as far as the education, it was pretty good. Most of my teachers were lovely great people who encouraged me to learn. But on the other hand in the school never bothered teaching us any social skills or how to interact with other kids, which I believe is a very important thing to teach kids from a young age. The lack of teaching this caused a lot of friendship issues and sparked fights and bullying. Honestly, I would not recommend this school to any parent who is planing on sending their kids here. But you may argue, "Oh but isn't this a blue ribbon school?" Yes, it some how is, but the people who decided that haven't seen the school through an actual students lens, how the kid you may be sending here will probably view it. I can't stop you from sending your kids here, but hopefully this impacts your decision so you can look at some other places before deciding. And I know that this is my perspective, but I know there are many other people who feel the same way I do.Other Review1mo ago - Santa Fe Engage

"Lots of outdoor space but there are also wild animals so you have to keep an eye on them! There are nearby trails, parks and lots of dog owners. Most houses have yards. Coyotes are a bit of a problem and you don’t want to let your dog out at night without keeping an eye on them. "
