"No dog parks and not very safe to walk your dog. Dog may go missing from your yard just like packages do"
  • Trulia User
"The old historic homes and buildings. Wouldn’t live in barelas though as it not a very safe neighborhood. To close to downtown area and train station where the homeless hangout. "
  • Trulia User
"annual fiesta at Holy Family Catholic Church, Car Show by Make-A-Wish Foundation, lowrider car show sponsored by lower standards car club, Dia de los Muertos parade, Memorial Day men that cook competition annual Balloon Fiesta worldwide event wine tasting Fiesta by local wineries"
  • Antoinette M.
"My neighborhood is very safe for children, my neighbors have owned their home for years and everyone has 1/2 acre or more. Everyone knows everyone, there’s not a lot of houses for sale & not a lot of new people moving in. My kids can walk down the street and there’s not a lot of traffic. I love it because it’s so beautiful, there’s a lot of trees, and open land, horses, and wild rabbits! "
  • Antoinette M.
"I drive and I jump on the freeway! I love driving in my neighborhood because all my neighbors have at least 1/2 acre or more and it’s like living in the country! There’s trees and horses and the landscapes are beautiful "
  • Aguirre_e
"The people who live here except one Who complains to much. The neighborhood association does an amazing job taking care of the neighborhood. Thank you for help. It very calm and unique place to live. I would not live in any other neighborhood. I would highly recommend any body to come live in this neighborhood. "

  • Maria D. C. G.
"We’ve lived in this area for 12 years best neighbors ever we watch each other’s houses and are always ready to help. No one complains if the dogs bark old type friendly neighborhood."
  • robin m
"i love the quirkiness and laid back vibe. but you only want to live here if your property is gated and locked."
  • Guzzymissile
"it's a place just outside of the city where you can have farm animals but still have the amenities of the city. everyone is really kind and friendly."
  • Guzzymissile
"I have lived in this neighborhood for the past 5 years and had the chance to see this area of the city grow while still being quite and rustic. its unique in that it is a farming community with some amazing neighbors that is still part of the city. it has old and new combined. most of my neighbors built their house in the 50's-70's and the original owners. there are tons of fields and pastures throughout this neighborhood. most people own various farm animals (cows, chickens, horses, sheep and goats) and are able to have a rustic lifestyle minutes from a metropolis. "
  • Richard Lucero
"Awesome place. In a rush rush world. The South Valley is a little more lay back. People in the community take the time to know one another. Wouldn't trade it for the world"
  • Ronda Z.
"some walk their dogs while others hace their dogs in their yards. almost everyone has a dog. a nice place to raise dogs."
  • Ronda Z.
"no sidewalks for children to walk on ....some tend to speed through the neighborhood gunshots go off on the holidays "
