4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageToday March 3d, on a school trip to Santa Fe the "teachers" boarded the train back leaving 22 STUDENTS ALONE TELLING THEM TO "CATCH THE NEXT ONE". My niece called in hysterics. To make it worse NO ONE ANSWERS AT THE SCHOOL. How tf do you have a field trip after 3:30 and no one at the school. I'll be calling the school board Monday. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children who attend Inez and we are all extremely pleased with the education and environment of the school. Ms. Casey the Principal is excellent. You know that she truly cares about each and every student. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone is safe. I have even seen her walking through the surrounding neighborhoods making sure kids cross streets safely. The school has a wonderful program where neighborhood volunteers (cleared by APS) watching out and helping kids walking to school. So far every teacher has been very good. We've had some new teachers and the only complaint I have is that they might be a little too enthusiastic. I highly recommend Inez, it's a great school for academics and for community. Sandia offers numerous opportunities to its students: we have a broad range of extracurriculars, elective choices and advanced courses. Our teachers and administrators are responsive to our academic needs and my peers have demonstrated that they seek out opportunity and are determined to learn. I also appreciate that Sandia is diverse. Our attendance area covers diverse areas of Albuquerque from the Heights around Arroyo del Iso golf course to Southern, more deprived areas of the city. In addition, Sandia has the highest transfer rate of any APS School. All of these factors compose a student body that is well-rounded, motivated and inclusive. "For parents with young kids, the elementary is good, the middle school is awful and the high school is good. Houses are old (1950’s) and repairs and upkeep come with it. Very close to many amenities. "
