4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe one-star review here is complete fiction... kids get individualized attention. The student body is supportive and diverse and a kids who applies themselves has nearly limitless options. Many parents have sent their kids to private schools and then come back into the high school. AP classes are OPEN as opposed to closed like at many schools. Kids can get AP starting in 9th grade or early if they prove themselves. Many more kids get 5's on the AP exams than in supposedly high-performing schools. Yes, because the school is inclusive, the overall rankings might be lower (test scores) but that doesn't mean the teachers aren't really good. The school also now offers algebra for 7th graders and listens to the parents. The only downside is the excellent band program has been a bit dinged by recent changes... hopefully they can get that back up to speed and enhance their offering there.Parent Review1y ago - Daniel Webster No. 2 Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school! My son is autistic and honestly his teachers are amazing. They have so much patience with the kids. They try to teach them and learn new things everyday. I had seen a change in my son, he has learned new things and I'm amazed at the things he can do since he is non verbal and he never done those things before. I also love the fact that this school and any school in Weehawken teaches kids how to treat kids with disability with the same respect as kids with no disability. Bullying is horrible and calling other kids names is not okay. Ms. Thum and Ms. Douglass are the best!Parent Review11mo ago - Theodore Roosevelt No. 5 Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children came from a private school and started third grade in Theodore Roosevelt School. We have been very happy with the school. Our children were both behind but though help from the school and teachers, they both caught up and our daughter exceeded to get the highest academic achievement by the time they graduated 6th grade. Teachers were very engaged and I got a feeling that they really cared for my children and for their well being both academically and overall in the school.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 126 Highpoint Ave #1 & 2.
