6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTwo of my three children have graduated VHS, and now my youngest is entering her Sophomore year. VHS offers students a sense of self-worth difficult to find in very large high schools, along with a solid education which prepares them for college and society.Parent Review13y ago - Forest Avenue Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have no idea why this ranking is showing Forest so low; there must be an error in the calculations. I have two daughters who have attended Forest Avenue Elementary School and it was through their diligence that they have both received special services that allowed them to achieve academic and social success. My older daughter is now at the middle school and she has thrived because Forest prepared her to succeed there. My younger daughter has excelled even with the pandemic, and the school's response and management of education during a crisis has been incredible!Parent Review3y ago - Henry B Whitehorne Middle School

"The schools are excellent. The taxes are outrageous, but I suppose you get what you pay for. I had to sell my house because the taxes kept increasing faster than inflation or wage increases."

"I grew up here and live here again now. One of the best family oriented towns and also one of the safest in NJ. Verona Park is a county park that is just beautiful. Walking paths, new playground, tennis courts, bocci courts, paddle boats, senior center and small restaurant on the lake. "

"The Verona Park is fantastic and Bloomfield Ave has all one requires from groceries, some restuarants, shops and so on. Safe town with excellent, proactive policing. Greaty school system and perfectly situated with direct Manhattann buses and a short distance to the Montclair train stop (5 stations about 3-4 miles away). Very friendly folks."
