1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYears later this school has not changed a single bit, some teachers only teach for the pay check and couldn't care at all about actually putting in the type of effort that helps their students put in effort too, this school has a bad habit of choosing the worst possible teachers to teach chemistry and so their guidance department is always full of students complaining about them, constantly, and every time, their excuse is to just deal with it cause this school is just too incompetent to do anything about itThe current principal talked big sophomore year saying she was gonna set us straight or something g along those words, funny joke, the school got worse. They value the dress code, and now HEADPHONES, over the actual education of students, she cracks down on the wrong things which causes the school to suffer. In school we don’t feel like students, we feel like prisoners, we aren’t allowed to enjoy ourselves. Sure we can argue that school is a place of learning and not fun, but we are human beings and we deserve peace of mind regardless of the place we are in. They do not believe that though, they would rather you live miserably going period to period unable to see a shred of color in your school day. Although this is mostly just a personal gripe I do believe it’s worth mentioning. But this school does have hidden gems, some of the English teachers are wonderful and actually love their jobs, their classes are always full of undivided attention and lots of participation because they know how to actually teach, they share their passion with the class and the class responds back positively. I have never had a gripe with them, and I hope they stay in achs to be the students only taste of proper teaching. I would not blame them if they leave though, I would too.Student Review1mo ago - Harrison Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience has been wonderful. My son was transferred from NYC and we have had a pleasant experience. My son is already showing better results than he was in NYC, A, A+ in every subject, he has become the student representative.Mrs. Hatt is wonderful and a pleasure to communicate with, she knows how to teach and how to work with the students/parents.I have not seen any issues with the school, we are all remote learning and everything is in order.I am very satisfied with this school.Parent Review3y ago - Leonard V. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is okay. Core teachers are very good like the Math, & ELA teachers. The other teachers don’t seem to assign homework on a daily basis. The French teacher homework is to translate numbers all day, everyday, she needs to be replaced. School environment is okay. As long as your child doesn’t hang around trouble making kids. Overall my child looks forward to going to school everyday, but limited selection of good kids.Parent Review2y ago - Kindergarten Success Academy

"It has tremendous public transportation. I've lived here more than 11 years. - I used to live in New York, San Francisco, Washington, Boston. Working in New York City (and more recently at home), I've NOT HAD TO BUY A CAR! The train station, bus stops, the supermarket, grocery store, barber shops, churches, a fishmonger, pizzerias, Chinese restaurants, bars - they're all walking distance from anywhere in Roselle and Roselle Park! And to New York City, there are not only only 3 stops on the train - and 40 minutes on one of the two bus routes that make their way through Roselle and Roselle Park, but to other nearby towns and cities, obviously it's even less time on the train or buses. (There are six bus routes through the town, taking you everywhere in Union County and beyond). And finally, if you do have a car, we're just off the Garden State Parkway. Add an enormous park with indoor ice skating arena, baseball diamonds, cricket grounds, a separate walled rose garden, a grove of trees planted in honor of George Washington almost 100 years ago - and playgroun"
