"Fourth of July is my favorite day to live in Montclair, every year, we watch the parade from the front yard of our friend’s house on Midland, just a few blocks away. This neighborhood is in walking distance to several public schools incl the high school. Decamp bus to nyc, local NJ transit bus stop , a few blocks away, walnut st train station a few blocks more. Walk to quick check, Enzo’s pizza, bagel shop, Tierney’s bar. Safe neighborhood, very little crime or vandalism. Be careful turning onto valley road."

  • Trulia User
"Neighborhood has become overly crowded due to construction. There is no parking anywhere around town, and parking enforcement is roofless with tickets. The traffic in this town has become annoying because of the construction and the over population in the town. Overall montclair is a great community to upbring a family into. The town can be a bit pricey and taxes are crazy high. But if you can afford that, then this is the place for you."
