"We drive to work. It’s about half an hour to Bayonne N. J. Our neighbors work in Manhattan. They take the bus, always available and reasonably priced. Great commuting town. We also have the train, which some commuters also use. "

"I will say again - awesome Police. Very nice neighbors, pet friendly - almost everyone owns a dog. Houses are very well groomed. Great transport to NYC - train and buses. Great parks for kids. I do not like the wall obscuring the view for Route 3, but that belongs to Rutherford. I like that the police that enforces the 25 mph speed limit since there are many young children. I do not know the stats for schools and college bound students, but with kids you should look into that, I chose Average since I am neutral on that one (in the middle). We have a great ShopRite and Stop-n-Shop. Loews and Home Depot close buy for the do it yourselfer. Route 17 has many nice restaurants, malls in Paramus. Twenty minutes to NYC by car. Farmers markets all over. Since living here for over 20 years, houses are better maintained. Younger buyers with kids are bringing in longevity to the neighborhood, it's not a retirement area, it's got young blood. You do your research and see Lyndhurst is a great town and is getting better every day. I want to retire here. You research and decide, these are my opinions and mine alone. Thanks."
