There’s sometimes live music in RiverView park as well. It is an up an coming neighborhood with easy access to Manhattan via public transportation or car. There’s great food trucks in RiverView park in the spring and summer time. Also the Heights has great local restaurants like The Hutton bar and Grill and Low Fidelity."

"I've lived here for a few years now and it's very up and coming with almost new development on every block. I feel very safe a night but my biggest gripe with this part of town is the lack of parking and the excessive amount of parking tickets issued. Such a scam. Also people seem to have no regard of properly disposing of trash, you see garbage on the sideways and streets everywhere between Central Ave and Palisade Ave. It's a real shame because we have the potential to be a beautiful but vibrant part of town but seems like the more seasoned locals are fighting that change. "There are many parks, playgrounds, restaurants, mom and pop shops that make The Heights unique. Some of the best schools in Jersey City belong to The Heights (PS 27, PS 28). The parking is scarce and with most streets being zoned, it’s hard to have friends over if you do not purchase a visitors pass for them. Most neighbors are nice and thoughtful but not all residents are considerate. Many do not curb their dogs and package thefts are high in this neighborhood."
