When it’s bad it’s BAD and the whole place (teachers, parents) seem like a cliquey mess. There are some wonderful teachers there, but the community seems fake, and serious issues are swept right under the rug.

this is the truth about hhs (rewritten):i would give this a zero stars if i couldhorrible, if your kid is getting bullied there, they won't carethey don't help your kid eitherif your kid's stuff got stolen or broken by another student in the school, they don't care, they won't help, they will claim cameras didn't catch it or it didn't happenprincipal is horrible, doesn't respect teachers, staff, and studentsfood is terrible, i don't even consider it foodschool dress code is very strict for no reasonvery sexist towards the female students, especially towards the girls of colorschool is very racist, ablest, homophobic, and transphobicthey don't care if a female student is getting harassed by a member of staff or student body-10/10, don't send your kid(s) there

My child attended Kindergarten and 1st grade at Brandt before we moved away. We had a great kindergarten - teacher was nice and helpful, school was welcoming and there were a variety of community events. 1st grade was so so. The teacher was less effective and my child's progress slowed. At the same time the classroom was pretty chaotic with (20 kids and 1 teacher). My child had a best friend in class. My child came home one day and started telling me all kinds of negative about her bestie. Apparently the teacher told my child that she should not play with the other kid (??!!). Aftercare had a lot of variety but the quality is hit and miss. The building is a little old and lighting is not great. There's a large indoor gymnasium and small rooftop playground for recess. PTO can be a little intense at times.. Classroom donations, in theory voluntary, can also be intense at times..
