2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have raised 3 children in the Hillside community with my husband. We had children at every single school. I am a teacher myself, as with any community, both sides need to be reciprocated parents, teachers, students, and administrators. Essentially then, all schools are successful.Parent Review3y ago - Deanna G. Taylor Academy

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe'll soon be moving out of this town so I felt the need to leave a feedback about this school for many to see. My experience in this school or this school district in general has been so wonderful and we will sure miss this school. My daughter has been thriving in this school and her level of confidence is way up there. I never had any teacher that was not caring or listening. Regardless of the school's rating here there are so many students that are doing very well in this school. All of my daughter's friends are doing very well. My daughter has been in honor roll for all these years.Parent Review4y ago - Walter O. Krumbiegel Elementary School

"Hillside has become such a negative place to live. I used to live in hillside for 27 years and I know what the town used to be like. I’m currently an employee for the town and I know the town a lot better than it’s residents. "

"I've lived here for over 20 years, and it was great growing up here. It's culturally diverse and there a nice little parks. The schooling system is good. In the recent years, there has been more criminal activity committed by people from neighboring communities. It's sad to see, and with my growing family, I've decided to start looking elsewhere to raise my children. I don't want to stick around for Hillside's decline. Also, there needs to be more recreation for the youth. The teenagers have no place to have fun and socialize, and they loiter with no other place to go. As of right now, it's still a relatively safe place to live. I hope things start to turn around before it gets worst. "
