2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagedo the gaps between academics and graduation confuse? Don’t be fooled, some students don’t even know how to read when they get here. Academy Charter HS has high graduation rates because they push students along regardless of their effort. Learning from teaching at this school isn’t easy because of the many distractions *not the suspension percentage*. Peace, encouragement, and respect in class amongst students is scarce. The building is very small so trouble spreads quickly. teachings in classrooms aren’t even memorable because teachers have no control over their classes due to unruly students and teachers that can’t handle them. If your children are academically gifted, don’t send them here unless you’re okay with watching them mentally and academically be compromised. School funding doesn’t allow extra curricular activities for children to experience anything other than basketball and cheerleading. Without the exploration of skills and talents, many simply lack vision and motivation. So Teachers need to do better with their students to inspire success, and help them apply themselves. The scores here reflect true experience. This school won’t help take your children out of the hard world mentality, even if they seem well adjusted, because staffs inaction and robot like approach to teaching will continue to perpetuate inevitable failure in struggling city children. Unfortunately this rings true for many minority schools. Unless individuals care more, scores will always reflect the careless.Other Review2y ago - West Belmar Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is horrible! There's only a handful of good teachers. If you're not a cookie-cutter parent you're not respected at all they speak to you like you're one of the students. Very judgemental kind of like some of the parents of the kids that go thereParent Review6y ago - Belmar Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had an excellent experience with the teachers, administration and child study team. Our learning disabled student just graduated on grade level with his peers and will be attending High School in similar classes. The Child Study Team was fantastic and always very helpfulParent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 11 Ripley Lane.
