2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAtlantic City High School NJ - our two attended in 2011 - daughter in 10th, son a Senior. They went the entire year without a friend - even though both put themselves in a position to make them. Son on the Golf Team, daughter on Crew. Both are high honors students, never been in trouble in their lives, and a joy. The best part of attending this school was the gratitude they had for Highlands Ranch High in Highlands Ranch CO when we moved back... Unfortunately for our son, high Senior Year was a nightmare of metal detectors, thuggy kids and he felt he didn't learn much that year. My husband and I found it "interesting" that when the kids "attempted" to purchase school lunch with cash or to set up an account - they were advised "no one pays for lunch here" and given a form to fill out for free lunch. Our annual household income is over $150,000 so didn't know what to make of this. If you have to live in this district - pay for private school is my only advice.Parent Review9y ago - Texas Avenue Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe stuff who work there are joke and not serious !! This my story as sub teacher .I have been there to sub for one teacher that morning but everything go wrong because they cancelled my assignment in the last second and they told me that the teacher were in side the school .It was such unprofessional and disrespectful for me when i sign up for it .However, the stuff did not apologize for doing a huge mistake in their absence system .That morning i was very disappointed about the school and stuff .I will never back to that school again or taking any assignment ! they should shame on their selves because they made me suffer the loss of my time and money and worst part not even they say sorry for their mistake and they act like nothing happened .sadly this school is not professional.Teacher Review1mo ago - BRIGHTON AVENUE SCHOOL

"Heavily littered, needles on the ground. You have top be watchful if you have a family. Other than the drug users and filthy areas, it's nice fitting summertime. There's more of a clean up effort during that time. "
- Kameesha C.

"The town is fake nobody helps and there’s hardly anything left for children to do why would you want to raise your family here. Its all about the political people left and they all hate one another. Too much going on at hand instead of everybody working together its just become one big division and its sad"

"Daily drive is down a street full of potholes, bottoming out the whole time, and I’m in a 4x4 truck. Other than that my commute is pretty much exactly like the game of frogger, except rather than avoiding traffic and alligator logs, every 2 seconds I am dodging cars dropping people off in the thru lanes, parked in the thru lanes waiting for people, or jaywalkers."

"This is a great waterfront community. A quiet pocket in a City that never sleeps. Convenient to all things Atlantic City. "

" Very nice, quiet with access to transportation . On water inlet with access to intra coastal waterways."
- Machelle

"It is nice to have the beach and boardwalk after hours and off season to walk/run the dog. All the stray cats sometimes make walking the dog more of a chore than an enjoyable, relaxing experience."
- Amisha J.
- Resident

"That’s the children get overly afraid while the owner is walking the dog. Once this happens, the dog gets very excited and the owner has no control over the dog."
