8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGolden Brook is an amazing elementary school. My daughter will be said to leave after this year (she is a 4th grader). She has been going to GBS since pre-k and has only had positive experiences with the teachers and staff. I appreciate her teacher providing weekly homework rather than every night so that if she has sports or other activities, she doesn't have to cram it in every night. Love the GRIT concept taught throughout the Windham school district.Parent Review2y ago - Windham Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs an 8th grade student at WIndham Middle school i would never recommend this school. Within the two years I have been here during covid they have taken no safety measures not even masks are required. They barely tell you anything about your teachers and they lie about the number of covid cases in the school. Throughout my years at windham I have received the worst bullying to the fact that i have been shoved against a locker for not making it on the girls soccer team. This school favors people. For example if you are friends with the principle you don't get in trouble. The assistant principal calls you into his office but never tells you why you're there until like 10 minutes later. One time I went to the bathroom before lunch and forgot my lunch box so i went back to the bathroom after realizing it wasn't in my locker and came out immediately with my lunchbox that afternoon I was called down to the office and the assistant principal didn't tell me what was happening for at least 5 minutes. I have always talked to the guidance counselors at every school I have been to. So generally I went to try to go talk to the counselor. I had no problem with it last year but now the teacher either doesn't let you go or you have to tell them the exact reason you are going. I have heard major racism and homophobia in this school. I have been called the f slur, and have heard a white man pretending to be black say the n word numerous times. Many times no one does anything about it. There is also a fist fight like everyday in the hallway. I also feel there is sexism in this school district because many more girls get in trouble than the men when a lot of the girls either wear a crop top or something small like that. When I was physically barricaded against my locker nothing happened to the person at all. I was told on the bus to slit my wrists and so was one of my close friends we both struggle with mental health issues and told the assistant principle that and again nothing happened to the guy who said it. If I were a parent I would never send my child to this school. I am happy this is my last year at WIndham School DIstrict.Student Review2y ago - Windham High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWindham High School strives to serve. They do suffer from staffing shortages, and because of high praise nationally, the classes have become overcrowded, which is unacceptable given they built the high school such a short time ago. The curriculum is rounded and promotes critical thinking. They promote A/P coursework and high academic performance. I would not recommend the school for special needs. It is not so much the school's fault than it is a New Hampshire issue. For special education, the district is supportive in elementary, but for middle school and high school, too much parental oversight is needed for effective implementation of basic executive function development. Special education paraprofessionals are under-trained and under-staffed. There is a lot of lip service, and you are better served in Massachusetts, where the state funding is put to good use. There should be less emphasis on sports, but that's an observation that could be made of most high schools in the US. It is a positive place to raise a child. I do think the policies of inclusion, tolerance, and acceptance overall are a notch over adequate.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 6 3rd Street.
