6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is disrespectful at our house. I feel like it is based on how the school treats him. He has packets of homework, he takes almost three hours. My child says that he was spanked from his social studies teacher. We have not had bullying yet.Parent Review2y ago - Matthew Thornton Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a mix bag. There are great teachers in special education and some in regular education. I recall a person at our special education meeting - not sure her role- telling me I should place my daughter in residential and then take her home when her behaviors were more in control.Really? What does she know about residential placements and staffing at these placements along with qualifications? What does she know about removal of a child from a loving home and the trauma that it can cause? Why are the behaviors at school that have led to isolation rooms and physical restraints occuring in the school setting while the home setting is modified to reduce such behaviors at school? Why are staff so naive when it comes to curriculum and intervention strategies when working with children on the spectrum with significant behavioral needs - children who cannot understand spoke language, children with the mindset of an infant that is put in a school program designed for pre-school/elementary children when a child is forced to sit at circle time and learn calendar days - a child that is functioning like an infant. The child is so frustrated that he begins to bite himself and scratch staff for sitting still with an infant mind and looking at calendar blocks is not comething this child is developmentally ready for.Really staff?Parent Review1mo ago - Londonderry Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAcademically, it seems like a great school. But as a parent of a new student, I feel like we have muddled through the first 4 months figuring our own way. There is not a lot of information offered on the LHS website, and information is spotty in getting to parents. We get a bi monthly newsletter, but sometimes it comes days after events have already occurred. Trying to find info on extra curricular activities and clubs is very difficult, especially when dealing with a new student that is not quite comfortable as it is. It seems that they have many wonderful clubs and activities, I am just not sure why information regarding students getting involved isn't more readily available. We came from a private school setting that was very interactive, I am very disappointed with what public school has had to offer in that respect.Parent Review8y ago - Moose Hill School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son and my niece both attend this school and have already benifit so much from it! For my sons first day I was able to stay with him and see how excellent the teachers are! Every kid is well watched and interacted with! The teachers and staff are truly kind and put 100% into their jobs. The school itself is very safe and they have precautions before anyone even enters. My son and my niece always look forward to their next school day!! His class also has pictures taken daily so I get to see how his day was :) Amazing school!!Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 108 Lorden Cmns.
