9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am doubtful that you will find a better elementary school. Not in this area; not in the state; period. The faculty are amazing and completely dedicated to developing and nurturing their stewards. My child has a learning difficulty and the response from the classroom teacher, to the counselor, to the principal and vice principal was more then I could have expected. They developed a plan to assist my child in staying focused during class periods and a tailored homework and testing regimen when needed. The community is incredibly supportive and the families are amazing. The sense of community and family is special. I cannot say enough good things about GVS. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy student began at SMHS only to learn to quickly that the administrators favored certain students. Particularly the students who participated in sports and had good grades. All other student were left to their own devices and administration was often witnessed bullying students with inappropriate or derogatory comments. Sean Moynihan does not know what it takes to lead a school and what the curriculum needs are. Megan Reed is no better and in fact, the passive aggressive tendencies and her "better than all" message she delivers are keeping these students down. There are great staff at Sunapee High School. They have next to no bullying g policy, to the point that members of the staff are typically bullied themselves. They provide nearly no support for the arts and the staff show clear favoritism.
