5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Central high school from 9-12 grade, and think that it was a wonderful school to attend. Most of the teachers put a lot of effort into effectively communicating their topic to their students, and were willing to donate extra time if a student had questions .I was in the AP classes, and feel that all of the AP teachers did a more than adequate job at preparing me academically for the AP tests and the college level courses that followed. The school has wonderful music and theater programs, and also offers all of the expected athletic extracurricular activities. Since I graduated, Central upgraded their facilities and did an overhaul of the buildings structure. It can still be confusing to navigate for your first few visits, but I always found that having multiples ways to get to class was an advantage- if one hallway or stairway was too crowded there was always a less crowded alternate route that one could take. Overall Central is a lovely school and would be a great choice for any student in the Grand Forks area. They offer advanced classes, a variety of extracurricular options, and teachers dedicated to helping their students succeed academically.Other Review9y ago - Valley Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageValley has been a wonderful place for my kids! I feel very fortunate that we chose to live on the North End of Grand Forks so we could be a part of the diversity of students and families. I never got this kind of colorful education. The teachers are responsive, and seem to genuinely care for the students. Thank you Valley for taking such great care of my kids!!!Parent Review9y ago - Wilder Elementary School

"I live in an older neighborhood on the north side, so there’s plenty of sidewalks, traffic isn’t usually heavy (except on main roads), and there’s plenty of tall, shady trees to help keep cool in the summer. There’s also some very large parks nearby, that it would be fun to bring a dog to! In the winter, though, snow can be deep an sidewalks can be icy. Usually people are alright at shoveling their sidewalks, but the corners can be difficult or near impossible to navigate without climbing over snowbanks. Nobody clears those..."
