8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs an 8th grader, this school is not very friendly. Bullying is a problem in this school. Most teachers are friendly, although some aren't as nice as others. The current principal Ms. Prescott is not the best, she has enforced more rules on this school and my parents and I did not even receive an email regarding the new regulations. This feels very wrong and I am not happy with this inconvenience. I can't wait to leave this school and move on to a different high school, or hopefully an early college program. As I said before, the teachers are friendly, but many probably have to work more than one job to afford essential needs for their lives. In short, I do not recommend this school for a student who cares about their academic and social experiences in school. The school can't even hire its own janitors to clean up. Any parents looking for a school to send their child to, please think before you send your child to this school.Student Review1y ago - West Johnston High

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is a clear discrepancy in the way children are treated in this school. The principle is very strict, but only strict to a certain type of student. She is very lenient with students that look and sound like her. Rules are created to force students to quit or be removed. Please do the research on how many students either leave or transfer that are of color. Dress code violations, lunch room violations, food violations are what students here received ISS or OSS for THREE days for. A student can't wear a hoodie but students can wear camouflage caps. Students can't sag pants with shorts underneath, but females can wear mini skirts and cut off shorts. I have already made complaints to the County. Its is a shame that the middle school is excellent and treats kids with respect and dignity and the high school is such a disgrace!!Other Review7y ago - West View Elementary

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience has been wonderful! My daughter is loved and cared for almost like she is with family when she is at school. She has lots of learning opportunities and loves to come home and tell me all about it.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 74 Mark Ln.

"Yes, North Raleigh, located in North Carolina, United States, is known for having some excellent schools. The area is home to several highly regarded public and private educational institutions. These schools often offer rigorous academic programs, extracurricular activities, and resources to support students' learning and growth. It's worth noting that school quality can vary within any given area, so it's important for individuals to research and consider specific schools based on their unique needs and preferences."
