4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a 7th-grade student at Piedmont Middle School, and I am writing this review because I have seen so many people giving dishonest reviews bashing my school. My goal is to try to give a fair and honest review, with the positives and negatives. I am an A honor roll student at my school and way above an average middle schooler or teenager. I love my school so much and I have had a really great experience there. There will always be bad teachers at every school but I can say that at Piedmont the good teachers outweigh the bad teachers by a long shot. I have a few bad experiences but innumerable great ones. This school is really amazing and Dr. Eley and most of the staff work really hard to make it great. Most people do not understand how hard it is to be a teacher, my Dad is one so I know a little. Being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs there is, especially a middle school one. So when you see an amazing teacher that makes a huge impact on students daily you notice. Mr. Head is one of those teachers. In my opinion, he is the best there. He works so hard as a social studies teacher to make class great and keep it fun while not crazy. He is also an amazing cross-country and track coach at the school. He is far better than all the other coaches, especially since one of them will actively yell and cuss at their athletes every day. Mr. Head makes everyone smile and shows that being positive makes such a big impact and that there is no place for negativity, just improvement. The counselors are great at this school and so are the before and after school clubs set up by a teacher that goes out of his way to help people, Mr. Hill. Mrs. Cook goes out of her way every day to share God's love with everyone too. Jesus really works at this school through the students too. While I have seen so many negative reviews on my amazing school, most of them are based on the student's behavior and the teacher's getting stressed out and lashing out. Not everyone is perfect, but at Piedmont, you just need commitment and effort and a great teacher, and anyone, low or high income, black or white, and people of different cultures can get through the school year and have a pretty good time doing it. At Piedmont you can make so many friends, even though many kids are on their phones and have no social skills, people still talk with them. It's so easy to build relationships with everyone at Piedmont including the teachers. I wish I could write more!Parent Review11mo ago - Porter Ridge Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter joined kindergarten in the middle of the school year as we bought a new home and moved in, and she was able to adjust so well. The teachers were awesome and they were so good with the kids and communication. Kids learn creatively in the classrooms. The school also has an amazingly huge media and library for an elementary school which is great. Overall I would recommend this school and dont get fooled by the rating.Parent Review3w ago - Check out schools near 2922 Cripple Creek Ct.
