Pole Creek road is maintained by the county; with an SUV access onto and off of Pole Creek can be done with no problems. Since the house is located close to hwy 12, residents have quick access to travel east or west. The volunteer fire department is minutes away, thus insurance rates are positively impacted. There is a bus from Townsend schools that picks up children where Pole Creek and Hwy 12 intersect. Canyon Ferry lake is only a 5 minute drive with camping and a boat launch.

This location provides gorgeous views of the mountains. The absence of city lights makes the milky way and bright stars a nightly treat. We also have a plethora of wildlife; it is common to see elk, deer, fox, and eagles. On a rare occasion we see or see signs of a moose, bear, and cougar.

As noted above, the main floor sits on a basement with the same sq ft when you include the stairs. The additional sun room has vaulted ceilings with several large windows.

The home is well insulated. We have a 3 car garage with two 10 foot doors. The heating and cooling system was updated in the last year with a self regulating thermostat!!!! HUGE UPDATE! It has an energy efficient heat pump that keeps the heating bill down. The mud room is a favorite because of the shower to wash dogs, coolers, boots, put up a drying rack as well as the drain in the floor. For cat lovers, we installed a door for the cats to enter the cabinet space below the drawers. We open the cabinet doors to clean the litter box. For dog lovers, we have a room with a doggie door that goes outside to the kennel for them to run around and go “potty”. The dogs have shelter as well as access to the outside.

About a third of the basement is almost finished i.e. painted walls and flooring. This area includes an official bedroom and another room with no windows. The unfinished area includes plumbing for a “Large” bathroom to accommodate a washer/dryer and full bath. In an adjacent area there is plumbing for a sink. This space could be a bar and/or kitchen. Off of the “bar” area we have a pool table, dart board, and drum set. This is an ideal area for recreation. The large space off the base of the stairs from the garage could be a theater room or left for storage. I appreciate the large area to store seasonal items.
