N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was very upset the way things were handled with my child..... He loved the school at first but then something happened with the teacher and he didn't want to go anymore.... when i would walk him to school he would cry so much and shake in fear...... i asked to have my son's teacher changed but they refused until i finally took him out and homeschooled him.....Parent Review2y ago - Ocean Springs High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOcean Springs High School prides itself as the best school district in the state of Mississippi. No matter the students intrest, OSSD has it. From Sciences, Art and Sports. So many extracurriculars along with its academics. The HS football team is 23 and 3 in the last 3 years. Ocean Springs students are always competing to be the best in the state from sports and academics. There are numerous clubs, ROTC, Swimming, Softball, baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball and so much more. Not to metion they many advance placement courses. OSHS also has top competing Cheer squads, always competing for a state championship and even has a national title. The Blue/Grey Pride band is all superior, every year and preforms quite frequently to the likes of Disneyworld, Macy's Thanksgiving parade to even overseas. Its simply one of the best highschool bands in the nation. The school district is safe and has its own independent police department. Literally every student from the homecoming king to the checkers champion, has the best of opportunities to bring out and Excell at their Intrest. OCEAN SPRINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT - kindergarten to Highschool, Freindships are forged for a lifetime. Dreams are imagined, chased and achieved. There is literally no better schools for Mississippis children. The school district includes Magnolia Park elementary, Oak Park elementary, Pecan Park elementary, Ocean Springs Upper elementary, Ocean Springs Middle school, and Ocean Springs High school. It's a class 7A school which puts it in Mississippi largest and most competitive class. Graduating class avg 500+ students per year. Simply put, OCEAN SPRINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT is the best Mississippi has to offer and among the best America has to offer.Other Review6mo ago - Ocean Springs Middle School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am apart of a military family, so we move a lot. I came to this school and it felt like I was being punished for something. Nobody wanted to be my friend. The teachers had to put me with someone. I have been here for 8 months. I still only have that friend but she turned out to be a bad apple too. The teachers show favoritism towards students. They promote lots of events that kinda stink. Communication to my parents is awful they don't hear anything. It all depends on the students. The counselor was not helpful, I had to find my own way. In my first weak I got dress coded for wearing leggings and I had seen a girl walk by in almost the same thing I was wearing and the lady said " Sometimes you get caught speeding on the highway, while others don't" I am not usually sensitive about this stuff, but I cried. I went into the office and they asked me what was wrong and I told them that I hated the school. The office and the principal were very helpful. I really like them. However everything else stinks. We get taught something and don't expand on it. So when we get the test in a week later of not reviewing it we all fail. This is why Mississippi is in the lower percentage of good grades,. I was a honors student until I came to this school and I started failing because the teachers weren't helpful. I believe 8th grade should be counted as important but it's not. They don't have graduation, field trips li my last school and it was disappointing to see that I would have had to miss out on something I was looking forward to so much. Overall the students are too cliquey an fake. I hated this school.Other Review6y ago - Ocean Springs Up Ele
