The class sizes are small and have a great teacher to student ratio with the average at about 20. 1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent that currently has a student at Roosevelt. I feel it had vastly improved over the years. I attend every parent-teacher conference, email, have one on one talks with the teachers and other staff and everyone I’ve encountered have been very pleasant and helpful. The teachers really want to teach and guide and not just show up for work. "This neighborhood seems to be improving. I don’t know what parents need to know because I don’t have kids and don’t care to have any. The neighborhood has some cool bars and restaurants opening up and I do feel safe in this neighborhood. "

"Dog owners really don’t have a good area for their pets to play. Really you would need to take them on walks everyday to keep them active but not so great of a neighborhood! "

"Some parts are better than other. Definitely needs some love. The community is great though. Commuting is okay. Kingshighway is forever a cluster. Overall if I could rate, i would give it about a 6. Good place to start but not ideal for long term and family building. "

"I walk everywhere and it is fairly safe. There is a pretty strong drug presence in the area as I have seen used needles in the street but that is prevalent everywhere in South St Louis."

"This area is located very close to Holly Hills and Carondelet Park. The elementary school is within walking distance from this home. Public transportation is less than a block from this home. Nice quiet neighborhood. Most residents have lived here for many years."
