I attend every parent-teacher conference, email, have one on one talks with the teachers and other staff and everyone I’ve encountered have been very pleasant and helpful. The teachers really want to teach and guide and not just show up for work. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool has been gutted of funding and community support by loss of attendance due to large presence of charter schools in area. School is not supported by district effectively to address behavioral issue, safety or special education. Teachers and staff fight hard for students here, get burnt out and then leave. If your kid has an IEP, I suggest changing zip codes, as SLPS does not have Special School District and does all their IEPs in house and support isolation of students with disabilities instead of integration. Lack of resources increases disparities among marginalized youth, students are actively going through trauma while in the building itself and there is only one counselor and one part-time Social Worker who have way too much on their plate. Probably one of the most violent places I have ever worked, and its an elementary school. "SLPS is a very diverse school district and has many school to choose from if you apply to the Magnet school program. Some local schools aren’t as great but once you’re in the Magnet system your choices expand. "

"Our experience in the neighborhood has been great. The neighbors are friendly. The property is very secluded, but its proximity to Soulard and Lafayette Square give people in the neighborhood with numerous entertainment and active lifestyle options."

"Unfortunately I am unable to get a loan at the moment, but if I were this would be the premier house I would be looking for. Great access to downtown and Soulard, all interstates are within one mile of the neighborhood, and a Cardinal fan's dream. I wish I could afford this, but this would be any new home owner's dream!"

"I've lived in Lafayette Square/McKinley Heights for over a decade and am convinced there is no better place to be if you want to live in the city. Parks, cafes, close to the Soulard Farmers' Market. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the city!"
