The main teachers are nice but the classes are big (over 20-25 kids). The recess and lunchroom teachers were often unable to tell us how our kid had gotten hurt on several ocassions when they had accidents on playground, so either they are understaffed or the teachers are distracted. The principal Sasha Kalis was not transparent nor cooperative and was patronizing when speaking to us. Also the books in this school's library has themes such as same sex relationships that would be against many families' beliefs. There was an incident recently, wrong child sent outside to leave with the wrong person. They need to actually be checking people's id when they come to pick up kids. Also there is a hotel that opened directly in front of school which doesn't seem like am ideal location.

My son is thriving here. The Teachers are smart and fun. They have a lot of opportunities for club and sport activities.

Parent to a sophomore. Every. Single. Day. Someone is caught vaping, the school is on lock down, the school is on a “hold” so the buses won’t leave. Girls fighting/pulling one another’s hair out all while students stand around recording. Class disruptions due to fights or unruly students. Buses being stopped because singular students are vaping and kids being forced to stay on the bus until staff “figures it out”. I don’t know how this school is highly rated in any scores, since moving here, my kids are bored. (Sophomore, 8th grade and 7th). Curriculum has plummeted and everything has turned into an “everybody gets a medal scenario.” This school is as trashy as they come. Thankfully, Park Hill South is an option.

This is a nice fun school I’m in 7th grade and the teachers are nice don’t listen to other reviews:)
