5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been targeted as a bad kid for 2 years. He absolutely hates going to this school. The only teacher who has reached out in a positive way is the math teacher. 2 years, not a positive phone call or note home except from the math teacher. My child has been sent to the "Responsibility Room" countless times because the teacher didn't do their part to investigate class disruptions. Teachers do NOT care about the child's personal life nor take time to get to know the student. Matching the student up with an advocate who is in their corner also does not happen. The worksheets are OUT OF CONTROL. Same as all the other parents, kids are just told to figure it out. OH, the kicker at this school is the 2 strike rule. The school has this Responsibility Room which is essentially a time out room. Teachers can send kids there for a time out. If you get sent there 2 times, they kick you OFF any and all athletic teams. So instead of sports being a place for kids to connect and be a part of the school, the coaches look for ways to kick kids off. Even for time outs, which everyone knows is based on the teacher's mood or assumptions to who is causing a headache in the room. My child is so thankful that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.Parent Review1mo ago - Staley High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my experience, this school did not prepare my son for college. There were programs that I never knew new about. My son had an IEP but still did well in class and and had a social skills class. He graduated with a 3.4 GPA. When he went to college he was unprepared to handle college life and his grades suffered greatly. He received straight A's in all his math classes in high school but he could only manage a C at community college. He may have been coddled too much in high school so the transition was too great for him.Parent Review9mo ago - Check out schools near 10755 N Hickory Ct.

"if you like run down trailers high grass lots of wild roaming dogs then this place is for you!some of it is well kept but this trailer is on junk yard lane and condemned house rd. so much trash and terrible roads price to rent way too high for the condition of neighborhood "

" We know everyone on our street. It’s well kept, quiet and people are friendly. There’s hardly any crime or theft here"

"Private but close Great views Not easy with little kids but the trade off is the feeling of more privacy and views. All of sb is a privilege to live in. The mountain side gets more sunshine especially in the winter and mornings. It's close to trails but only 7-10 min drive from the beach. Almost everywhere in Santa Barbara is under 15 min anyway. It's a magical bubble of a place to live. "

"The excessive homelessness makes this neighborhood unique. Along with the apparent disregard for the abandoned buildings and liters of trash everywhere. "
- Jeff Theobald

"Homeless treated better than folks paying all the taxes. City officials don’t care and waste money. Taxes to high, and pushing out businesses. So much waste of taxpayer dollars!"

"I don’t know of any community events. Besides maybe the pumpkin patch they had last Halloween. The neighbors are friendly, but everything is so isolated that it’s hard to grow a community outside of a few nice neighbors "
