7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHCR is hidden gem! What makes it unique is how much school is involved with kids and integration of PSO body in school. The teachers are always on top of their game, very responsive and provide frequent feedback on your kid. The school counselor and current principal are also top notch and really proactive.Parent Review10mo ago - Parkway Central Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a current student here (8th grade) and i transferred last year from a different school. It's not a bad school in terms of learning and accommodating kid's learning styles, but when it comes to bullying or bad behavior i feel like most of it is overlooked unless it's physical. I am personally a victim of this because I'm lesbian, and i have other friends on the LGBTQ+ spectrum that get bullied as well. However, there is little to no racism in the classes, at least to my experience. The community is very diverse and welcoming of people of any skin color. Also, certain teachers care more about your attendance and grades than your actual health (mental or physical), and won't lay off if you do one thing wrong, like getting your work done slowly. It's usually those same teachers that overwhelm students with work and have them staying up late with homework and making them tired, then blaming them for not doing their work quick enough. The schedule is based on Even and Odd days, and you only have 4 classes each day except for Wednesday when you have all 8. Lunches aren't the best but they also aren't terrible. That's all i can think of for now but i'm sure there's more problemsStudent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 15596 Summer Lake Dr.
