The IB Diploma Program is recognized as a superior education, preparing students to do rigorous academic work and succeed at post-secondary institutions around the world. The program encourages students to think from an international perspective while first developing an understanding of their own cultural and national identity. The emphasis on interdisciplinary learning requires that students study courses across six disciplines. The Program includes six IB subjects and examinations, 150 hours of CAS (Creativity, Action, Service), the Theory of Knowledge course, and a 4,000-word independent Extended Essay. The reason why I scored Edison a "4" for learning and teaching is because I strongly feel that all teachers and all schools always have room to strengthen and grow to best fit the needs of each individual student. I feel it is critical to have a growth mindset as educators and work along side students. It is critical to keep up to date with technology and the resources available to education (the tools and systems) to empower students to achieve their goals and uplift student voices.Teacher Review10mo ago - Northeast Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended 6-8. Overall I think it was a good school! There is still a lot of drama happening between the students, but I do feel like that was a small part of the ever day life there. I saw lots of positive changes in the three years my son attended to bring the focus back to learning.Parent Review1y ago - Webster Elementary

It’s fairly easy to get around via 394 or across the bridge to NE. Downtown proximity without feeling like downtown is also a nice perk."
