5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school definitely isn’t the most high-end place ever, but the staff do their best to keep up with everything. There’s a wide range of classes to choose from each year, especially after covid, there’s a lot of flexibility when it comes to completion of homework. Now, it’s a public school so I cannot say everything is wonderful, fights do happen, the lunch meals are questionable, and holding kids responsible with passes or getting to class on time isn’t heavily enforced. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers at this school are great! The new administration, Hagerty, is incompetent. Sudent behaviors are out of control and there is no consequences for negative behaviors. Students that excel and are respectful are ignored. For example, they are the only middle school in the district that doesn't have an academic honors ceremony for 8th grade. "I have lived in Anoka on and off for several years. There are parts of Anoka that are really great to live in and their other pockets of the city that are not the greatest areas. You have to be mindful of the location you’re looking into and you can usually tell by the houses on your street. I live on Ferry Street, which is very noisy and very loud and a lot of traffic goes by. There is also a lot of car racing which happens very close to my front door. "

"Lots n of kids and family oriented activities happening weekly. Large city kept parks and a great aquatic center for summer fun. Outdoor parks flooded in the winter for excellent ice skating. "

"There are parks in the area, seems like every 10 block radius. Kids are always there. Winter brings outdoor ice skating. The downtown shops are all unique and typically people are walking from store to store on weekend events. "

"The city puts on a really good parade every year for Halloween. Then in the evening there is a beer tent with live music for some adult activities. Downtown is really small but that is what makes it great. "
