7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an exceptional, 5-star elementary school, powered by an AMAZING Principal (an "Angel in heels"), a kind & professional office team, and outstanding teachers. Pre-COVID, I recall hearing other parents describe Duncan as "Disneyland". I totally agree and can say that even in the current state of COVID and all the unknowns, this school has navigated through it all like ROCKSTARS and is STILL just as impressive as before the world changed. (The overall district's ability to pivot and execute a virtual option for all students was phenomenal.) In my own observations, the driving force behind the sense of caring, security, and positive feeling when walking into the school doors as well as the virtual experience, is the "heartbeat" that keeps things running so smoothly. This consists of a principal who is a kind, compassionate, super-intelligent leader. She makes herself highly visible and very involved with the staff and students. She is rarely in the office as she is consistently in the crowd. Pre-COVID, she would be first in line, zipping up coats, helping to wipe noses, helping with lunchtime and recess, comforting students, resolving concerns on the fly, and making sure everyone feels safe, including guiding children on and off the bus or to their destination. The other part of the "heartbeat" is the genuine, caring office staff who take the time to know the families. They are extremely organized, reliable, and trustworthy. The teachers have SUPER POWERS and make the heart complete. They are Real-Life Unicorns AND the Icing on the Cake. Collectively, this makes up THE BEST environment for any child to learn and grow. Thank you for your unconditional support, love, inclusion, and commitment to the community. Leadership communication is absolutely horrendous. You would think counselors would care but they don’t. Daughter gets bullied and school doesn’t take it seriously. "The HOA rule that you can’t have a fence makes it difficult for dog owners. Even if you have an invisible fence installed as I did it does nothing to keep others out. "

"Our trailer park holds holiday parties in the office’s hall. They put on a good gig. Also the streets are nice to walk on a weather friendly day. Washington is a good quiet area. You can easily raise a family and have the family activities nearby as well."

"We moved here 11 years ago. It’s a beautiful neighborhood with friendly people. Everyone waves at each other when walking or driving by. Our immediate neighbors have become very good friends. "
