My child enjoyed three years at Smith and subsequently excelled with good grades in all classes. My child felt more comfortable about attending Athens. We have not been disappointed with the school at all. The teachers and staff have been wonderful and engaging. The school the education is giving my child is much better than where we moved from. The issues that we have are with more of the community and people. The community seems very closed to newcomers, but we have only been here for 7 months and are here for the long haul. "Used to be a bit of country in the city had a dirt bike track at the end of my street now foreigners crammed on top of each other nobody even bothers to say hi and they race down the street at breakneck speed with children everywhere. Used to have deer running through the yard regularly Fox coyote raccoons turkey. Now mostly Skunks and rats."

"There are tons of kids in the area and while no area is 100% safe, Troy is one of the lesser areas I would worry about. Lots of areas to walk and lots of people out and about. Shopping centers, restaurants are plenty. Although a tad on the pricey side, Nice place to live. "
