5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying rampant and principal doesn’t care, school counselors believe that if every kid they see is nice to them that they are nice to everybody, too many kids crammed in one building, 0 individual attention, help or care from the teachers, horrible school and people in itOther Review1y ago - Royal Oak High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHarassment is protected at this school. I have submitted a number of reviews trying to outline the issue but they have been removed. The athletic director is biased, teachers appear openly sexist, and students who harass other students are protected. The principal has no time to speak to parents either. Very likely the most dismissive administrative body I've encountered.Parent Review1y ago - Northwood Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have a second grader and a kindergartner at Northwood. Our second grader's teacher in particular has been excellent at working with my child to help her and us address potential learning obstacles. Her approach has been very knowing and thoughtful but what really stands out is how much she cares about helping our child. We are very happy with our kindergarten teacher (who was also our older child's teacher that year) and the principal seems to be running things very smoothly. Art, music, and gym have been favorites of our kids so things are good there but we would love to see more teacher time made available. The PTA is very involved and when we volunteered for the Science Fair we found it to be very well run. The parents we've run into seem to care about the kids getting a good education but do so without the attitudes that might occur in a private school or a public school in a very high income neighborhood.Parent Review6y ago - Check out schools near 1611 Crooks Rd.

"Our neighborhood is very eclectic...diverse...and I love that! I have a car, but it has super low miles on it, because I bought it shortly after we bought our house here, and while I do drive it regularly, most of the places I go are within 5 miles of home. I have wonderful immediate neighbors on either side, and directly across the street. "
