8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe chose this school for our kids because it offered challenge to our college bound kids. They all have graduated from Portage Northern High School. My kids have attended college or about to finish. One has a Master’s Degree in Economics & finishing a Respiratory Therapy Degree. Another has Registered Nursing Degrees and works as a coronary care nurse in a intensive coronary care unit and is about to start her PhD in Nurse Anestheseology. Another completed his MBA at Wayne State and works for Department of Defense. Finally, my youngest is a practicing Corporate Lawyer. All had a good foundation in their beginning years of Education. Portage Northern teachers and the implementation of the curriculum resulted in some very successful assets to our community and country. Thanks Portage Northern High School and GO HUSKIES!Parent Review4y ago - Portage West Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love WMS! This is my son's 2nd year there, and our first year was wonderful! It was a big adjustment coming from a small charter school to such a large middle school, but the teachers that he had were super friendly, the office staff was wonderful, and even the assistant principle made an effort to make sure my son felt welcomed. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff that is there at West. The academic emphasis is great and they are quick to follow up on any behavior/bullying issues.Parent Review12y ago - Check out schools near 3530 Scots Pine Way.

"Everything in the town of portage is easily navigable which makes a move here much easier. Portage is a great town for families as well; with good schools, lots of nature trail parks used for hiking, lots of different family oriented playground parks, a YMCA with great programs available, etc.... the list goes on! It is a wonderful little midwest town."
