"The fireworks during holidays could cause problems for dogs who cant handle them. They would like that there are trails to walk them other than just sidewalks"

"There are not really any community events in our neighborhood. Houses are somewhat far spaced apart. It’s not a subdivision type of neighborhood. "

"Everything in the town of portage is easily navigable which makes a move here much easier. Portage is a great town for families as well; with good schools, lots of nature trail parks used for hiking, lots of different family oriented playground parks, a YMCA with great programs available, etc.... the list goes on! It is a wonderful little midwest town."

"This particular area of portage seems really safe, you have the police station, public library, and city hall here. There are also walking trails and park areas near the library, several restaurants that have great food and Portage Central H.S.. Portage schools are rated 5th highest in the state to my knowledge. Not much here is open past 9pm though, but the bandshell, located behind the police station, has periodic entertainment, often for free, which is why I gave entertainment/nightlife an average rating.
