5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved into the district when my son was entering 1st grade. (2014). Our experience has been extremely positive. We are pleased with the school, class size (24) and his teacher. We like that everyone doesn't look like him or come from the same middle-to-upper class background; rather, he is exposed to kids from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Coming from a rural school district, we are very happy with the curriculum, offerings and environment at D.C.Parent Review9y ago - Grand Ledge High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had to take my daughter out of this school. She was bullied by students AND teachers. She was openly humiliated in class by one teacher and given a bad grade by another because the teacher disagreed with her perspective on an essay she wrote, and admitted such (this is a kid who got a full collage scholarship and took honors writing classes – – her essay was A+ material but she received a C because of the content). In both instances. I made complaints that fell on deaf ears. It seems if you have a viewpoint that doesn’t follow conservatism you’re doomed from the start.Parent Review2y ago - Leon W. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended 7th and 8th grade here...very pleased with the school and what it had to offer. My other two daughters will be attending hayes in the next couple years so I'm pleased anout that....just beware because there are so many teenagers here tons of drama and drugs. But teachers and academics are great!!Other Review11y ago - C.W. Neff Early Childhood And Kindergarten Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter will be having her second year in the Begindergarten program and we have nothing but great things to say about her teacher, staff, and the school in general. We are school of choice to Grand Ledge schools. Would definitely recommend this school to others.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 6823 Picketts Way.

"We don’t have many honestly because the people here ruin everything always have to bring their drama to the kid events can never just have a good time then the parks it’s a hit or miss cause you never know which one people pee and poop in the slides I would never recommend Lansing Michigan for anyone with kids this is not a place to raise a child "

"By bus it’s a 30 minute ride to downtown, 30 minutes to the Lansing Mall. By car it’s just about the same. Traffic is pretty reasonable. Overall my neighborhood is pretty quiet, neighbors aren’t overly friendly but we speak and for the most part keep to ourselves. While there are quite a few dog owners, doggos aren’t noisy nuisances."

"We have access to public transportation, however it is not my preferred method of travel in Lansing. I use my car or bike (could walk as well) to work and groceries. Commute is not long, nor is traffic heavy."

"friendly area, nice walkways to take a day time stroll. Parks nearby for kids to play at. there are plenty of nearby stores so its nice to have it all around our neighborhood. I wish there were more stop signs though or a speed limit when in the neighborhoods or any sign that reads " kids at play" because we live on a busy street and there are alot of kids playing outside and there are too many fast drivers "
