  • Trulia User
"Lansing has okay public transportation, however I use my car. Depending on the location of your job the commute is usually quick and simple. There is easy access to the expressway and the surface roads move pretty quickly."

"Lansing Schools need improvement, I would not send my children to this school system. There are school of choice options close by. There is some crime, most of it petty. The more violent crime is committed between individuals that know each other, or at least run in the same circles. I like Lansing, the city has many projects underway, and generally is heading in the right direction. "

"This is the most beautiful neighborhood in the city of Lansing. A beautiful park to walk in with a new path with a mix of woods, fields and flowers. What a treat. Streets are safe at all times of the day or night and wonderful place to take a dog for a walk. Neighbors are close without being nosey, so we all watched out for each other making the area feel even safer. This area is also close to downtown, state offices and the colleges of LCC and Cooley law. Many neighbors were professionals working in town. Proximity to the Grand River quite a treat as we had so many birds and animals live near the river. You would never guess you were in a city."
