Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from August 13, 2021
Welcome to 210 Benjamin where Victorian charm meets modern day upgrades. Not only is this home a total showstopper, it’s located right in the heart of Eastown close to shopping, restaurants, Fulton Street farmers’ market and several parks. The covered front porch is perfect for late night conversations, bubble blowing and coffee in the morning. Once inside, you’re welcomed with original hardwood flooring, a beautiful open staircase, cozy fireplace/sitting area and soaring ceilings. A heavy pocket door leads into a second living area with loads of natural light. The dining room and kitchen were fully remodeled in 2017 for an open concept flow with exposed shelving, stainless appliances, granite countertops, soft close cupboards and a large pantry. Both bathrooms were completely remodeled in 2018 with special care to preserve the large original built-ins. The upstairs boasts an uncharacteristically large landing, all four bedrooms, and full bath. A Home Energy Assessment was conducted in 2011 and demonstrated this home to be highly efficient. The charm extends to a quaint backyard with lush landscaping and two patios perfect for entertaining. The privacy fence and two-car garage are rare in this neighborhood and not to be missed. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageas a former Blandford school student, my experience was amazing. the only way to fully understand the greatness of this program is to experience it. the teachers push you to your limits and beyond. blandford is the place that I met my 5 best friends, and we are still as close as ever. the way they slip nature into the daily learning is simply amazing. I love when we went into the woods and learned about everything around us. sometimes we would even go out there to have a conversation about math! the teachers create a friendly environment for the kids, while making it easy for us to respect them. I loved every minute of it, even when I was struggling a bit. I hope that this post may convince you to let your child go on to what I thought of as the best experience of my life.Other Review11y ago - John Ball Park Zoo School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe metrics on this school are not as straightforward. As I imagine is the case for many schools that are on this website. In regards to the large gap between test scores and progress, students have a test score requirement to apply. As for progress, our personal experience saw exceptional progress, though not necessarily in test scores. Our student learned how to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines, work with a team, and how to study independently. Also, the metric on teacher to student ratio is off. There are two teachers that teach 2 subjects each and they work with half of the students at a time. The students rotate classrooms. Please do not take these scores at face value. There is so much learning and progress happening at John Ball Park Zoo School. Reach out to the school, or a parent or even a former Zooie themselves. Highly recommend this program.Parent Review1y ago - Congress Elementary

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll three of my children have either attended or are currently attending. I am so impressed with the welcoming environment, appropriate expectations, and amazing teachers. My children love seeing their old teachers who remember everything about them, many many years later. The other parents at the school are devoted and very welcoming, and invited me into their social events even when I was nervous to do so. I now wish I had been involved sooner. The school was great to adjust all learning needs by having staff available to work independently with both kids who need extra help, and those who are more advanced, so no one is left behind or stagnant in their learning.Parent Review5mo ago - Ottawa Hills High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey care about your grades rather than your mental health. I was in the worst place of my life, I failed on a test, and I explained this to my teacher, that I had too much homework every day and that I have a disability to concentrate, and after all of that, she just simply said, “Well, welcome to city.” No retakes, help in the future, nothing. And that’s one of my teachers. Save yourself your mental health, and don’t go to this school. This was made February 4, 2023, sophomore. Two years at city.Student Review2mo ago - Grand Rapids University Preparatory Academy
