N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEdwardsburg Primary School I cannot adequately express how disappointed I am in our first experience at this school. After years of living in the community and hearing about how wonderful the schools are, I was underwhelmed to say the least. My child began kindergarten this year. In our brief time at the school we have encountered more than one grouchy, rude staff member. These are 5,6, and 7 year olds, and I cannot believe how they are treated in their first experience at school. At the end of the first day, several children (including my child) were put on the bus even though they are exclusively car riders. We were fortunate to catch their error before the bus left. My neighbor was not that fortunate. His daughter was erroneously put on the bus and rode home to an empty house. Luckily he was able to race home and caught the bus before it left our neighborhood. I am beyond disappointed with this school. It should be a warm, welcoming and well-organized environment, and it is far from it. I did give it two stars because my child's teacher seems competent and kind. I feel sorry for the new principal because she has her work cut out for her this year.Parent Review9y ago - Edwardsburg Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo today I took my granddaughter to school after a dentist appointment. We arrived at 8:45 in the morning and waited to sign in the office. In front of me was a young girl signing in. Her father had just signed her in and left. As the girl finished signing in she wrote down the reason she was arriving late was because she overslept. Her father had written that she was at an appointment and the girl crossed the word appointment out and wrote overslept. Now this is a middle school student who knew to tell the truth rather than lie like her father. But the equally important part of this story is That the secretary that was taking the students information And giving her her pass to goto class, Took time to acknowledge the student for doing the right thing. She merely said " I appreciate your honesty". It moved me because so many people do not acknowledge students when they do the right thing but only find criticism when they make poor choices. I think the secretary was a fabulous person to support the students and encourage her to continue to make the right choices in life. It's employees like this that make Edwardsburg schools so desirable!!Other Review9y ago - Edwardsburg High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is very good in my opinion. It offers many academic and athletic opportunities, pushing students to their highest potential. The teachers are amazing and are extremely nice and respectful. They always find ways to help their students and will never stop pushing them towards success. The student body is mostly nice and welcoming, but there are a few students who are disrespectful. The athletics are beyond outstanding as they have extremely talented and high achieving sports. The most notable sport would be football. But, all athletics to outstanding. Also, the arts programs are amazing. The choir is extremely vocally talented and high achieving. The band is award winning and extremely good. Also, the theatre program puts on amazing shows. The students at Edwardsburg are truly talented. But like all schools, there’s it’s flaws. The school is pretty old and needs a few updates. While the dress code has been loosened up a little bit, I think it is a little to strict. Also the diversity isn’t that good. Most people are either white or mixed. But the diversity keeps growing each year, which is good. Also, there are some toxic people and people who bring negative energy to the school, which kind of sucks because I love going to school here, but some people don’t, which is fine, but it kind of gets annoying when people constantly say they don’t like it, like, I heard you the first time. But, on the bright side, a lot of students are really nice and happy. I truly believe this school is beyond amazing and I recommend it to anyone. I know many people (as well as myself) that have transferred here throughout the years, and I can not tell you the amazing differences between this school and other schools. EHS is so much better than almost every other school around us.Other Review2y ago - Check out schools near Kristy Ln.
