1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have about four generations of family members that attended this school including myself from kindergarten until sixth grade. Times have changed and the neighborhood doesn't look the same anymore but that has nothing to do with the care for each individual child. I must say I was impressed. Values as well as education are greatly exercised by the male leadership in the school. Many of the children are poverty stricken but that's never an issue well you can't tell if it is and I strongly believe that's because of the family style learning environment. One of the secretaries stand at the door every morning and literally greet 98% of the children by name & encourage them to have a great day. Breakfast lunch & dinner is offered daily. Another thing that I like is the fact that your child's learning is monitored & will place them with the studies needed so my son didn't have to work on a lower level. I could go on I see Great potential for Burns it's like a diamond in the rough. The PTSO are much involved, the children are imperfectly perfect & the entire staff appears to truly careParent Review9y ago

"you see people walking their dogs all the time, and dogs always seem welcomed in our neighborhood. It's a judge free zone theirs no need forany drama to even be bothered around here"
